Shawanaga First Nation
GROUNDED IN TRADITION. GROWING TOGETHER.
Shawanaga First Nation is a strong and thriving Anishinaabe community, nestled along the rugged beauty of Georgian Bay. Our roots run deep: in the land, in our language, and in the generations who have come before us. We carry forward the spirit of our ancestors with pride, living our culture, protecting our traditions, and building a future that honours who we are.

Shawanaga Healing Centre
The Shawanaga Healing Centre works to support the health and well-being of community members through programs and services that reflect our values, traditions, and needs. The centre is guided by the Seven Grandfather Teachings and follows a wholistic approach — caring for the mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects of wellness.
Services include mental health and addictions counselling, cultural and land-based healing, case management, and community support. The team works alongside other service providers, both on- and off-reserve, to ensure members receive the care they need in a way that honours who they are and where they come from.
Whether you’re reaching out for yourself, a loved one, or someone in the community, the Healing Centre is here to listen, guide, and walk alongside you on your path toward healing.
