Shawanaga First Nation is currently developing a Land Use Plan and Environmental Management Plan for their surveyed reserve lands. These plans will support the Shawanaga Land Code (2017). Information gathered from this survey will assist Shawanaga First Nation in developing plans that promote the sustainable use of our lands, waters and resources.

The purpose of the survey is to identify the community’s land interests and concerns, and better understand what our community members’ vision is for the future of our surveyed reserve lands.

To help direct these plans with the greatest transparency, Chief and Council are looking to all citizens to take some time to fill out this survey.

To fill out the survey please go to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XS7969Z
Paper copies of the survey can be requested by contacting Maryanne Geroux, Planning Coordinator at:

705-366-2526 ext. 262

planningcoordinator@shawanagafirstnation.ca

Pleas fill out either a paper copy or the on-line version of the survey.

All citizens who complete the survey by September 30, 2018 will be entered into a draw for one of five $100 VISA gift cards.

Information provided in the surveys will be kept confidential. No individuals’ names will be identified in the Land use Plan or Environmental Management Plan. A summary of the survey results will be provided to Chief and Council.
